The OWC Mercury Pro External USB 3.0 Blu-Ray Reader/Writer is a plug-and-play optical drive that supports writing to Blu-ray and DVD media as well as CDs. It also supports a wide range of disc capacities, including single (25GB, double (50GB), triple (100GB), and quad layer (128GB) Blu-ray media, single (4.7GB) and dual layer (8.4GB) DVD media, and CD media up to 700MB, or 79 minutes of audio. This optical also supports M-DISC media and its 4MB buffer helps to ensure uninterrupted disc burning sessions.
Whether you're labeling your finished discs with adhesive labels, using inkjet-printable discs, or laser burning via LightScribe or LabelFlash, OWC has included the software to give your discs a polished, professional, and finished look. Smile DiskLabel for Mac OS X allows you to create, print, and share CD labels, jewel case inserts, and DVD covers, while Prosoft Engineering Data Backup 3 for Mac OS X v10.2.8+ and NovaStor NovaBACKUP for Windows allow you to backup your data.
The Mercury Pro External USB 3.0 Blu-Ray Reader/Writer includes a 2' USB 3.0 cable, two Philips 4x BD-R discs in cases, and operates using an included 100 ~ 240 VAC power supply at 50-60 Hz. It is protected by a limited 1-year warranty.
